For the past 5 years, South Carroll has participated in the national fundraiser Pennies for Patients, a national organization committed to raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The LLS is currently the largest non-profit health organization dedicated to raising money for blood cancers. The main goal of this society is to “Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families”. Schools across the country donate to Pennies for Patients, along with Collect for Cures to help provide financial support to patients.

South Carroll sets a yearly goal for $200, which has been met every single year! In addition, the advisory that raises the most money gets a prize! This year we have already raised over $250, and we are still collecting donations.

Donations can be given online, and students can make a difference in helping save the lives of blood cancer patients. Collection boxes can be found inside your advisory and we strongly encourage you to donate for this good cause.
