This morning, the National Honors Society hosted the first annual Veterans Day breakfast from 8-9:30. The idea of this event was to show our appreciation to the veterans of the country. Members of the club donated food and their time to make this breakfast a success.

A total of fourteen veterans varying in age and branches of service attended this morning with a plus one. Members of NHS joined them to eat at all of the tables. A large amount of food was presented along with recognition to the veterans. Alyssa Chesney, NHS President, was there to give a speech thanking the veterans for all they have done. Vocal Ensemble came to sing the pledge of allegiance, and band and orchestra members volunteered to play sets of music. It was a nice way to show our appreciation for the veterans on this Veterans Day.

Thank you for your service veterans!
