Now that the colder months are approaching, there are more and more people in need of shelter, food, clothes, and more. To help support these families during the winter, South Carroll’s Key Club has taken action in multiple fundraisers, and donations to help support children and adults in need. The Key Club helps any, and everyone who need help and who are in straitened circumstances. One event they are doing is baking cookies to give to  Shepherds staff, a place that reaches out to people in need, for part of a thanksgiving meal for anyone in Carroll County. Key Club is also doing a fundraiser, Unicef, where all profits made go to a countries in poverty. Also, they are doing a shoe drive and asking for donations of new or unused shoes to redistribute to families in Africa. Key club is also making an effort to help children be safer and stop slipping in hospitals by putting puffy paint on the bottom of  socks to help prevent them from sliding and falling. Lastly, Key Club is tying blankets for the cold weather shelter in Westminster to keep people of all ages warm all winter. Key Club currently has 49 members and is always accepting more for a small fee of 15 dollars! Another event going on is Mrs. Larsons chorus classes collecting donations of clothes, jewelry, shoes, toys, books and more for children ranging from infants to teenagers. Please kindly help and donate to these fundraises because one small thing could make a big difference to them.
