Avengers Infinity War slams into the box office with the biggest global opening of all time. Making an estimated $640.9 million, it shatters the record for biggest worldwide opening previously held by Universal’s The Fate of the Furious, which made $541 million for its global opening last year.

Infinity War was packed with action, romance, and just the right amount of comedy to make it a film worthy of a film review.

Spoiler Alert! Don’t Read Past Here If You Haven’t Seen The Movie!

The movie takes place directly after Thor: Ragnarok, where Thor, Loki, and the last of the Asgardians are approached by Thanos’s ship. Bruce Banner is warped back to Earth to warn the Avengers of Thanos.

Infinity War is chock full of plot twists, including Peter shooting Gamora, but the gun turns out to only shoot bubbles, or when Thanos exchanges Gamora’s life for the Soul Stone.

The film ends with Thanos acquiring the Mind Stone, killing Vision in the process. With all the Infinity Stones in his possession, Thanos snaps his fingers and destroys half the population of the universe.

The casualties include Dr. Strange, Drax, Starlord, Mantis, Spider-Man, Black Panther, Bucky Barnes, Scarlett Witch, Maria Hill, Nick Fury, Falcon, and Groot.

This is an interesting way to set up the sequel. Will our heroes return, and who can stop Thanos?

We’ll find out in Infinity War 2.
