Tomorrow morning, Price Harry will marry actress Meghan Markle at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. This is the first royal wedding in the UK since William and Kate’s in 2011. The wedding however, is expected to be very different, because Harry is only sixth in line for the throne.

The wedding is unprecedented and controversial for the usually traditional Windsor family. Markle is the first American to be married into the family, the second person of color to ever be married into a British royal family, and is a divorcee. Just 59 years ago, Queen Elizabeth denied her sister Margaret’s marriage to Captain Peter Townsend because he had been married before.

The wedding costs are predicted to be around $670,000 US dollars, about 32 million cheaper than the 2011 wedding. There is also a relatively small guest list of around 600. In contrast with William and Kate’s, the guest list doesn’t include major world political leaders. The wedding will break the traditions of royal weddings always being on weekdays and having a maid of honor. Meghan, however, does plan to wear an heirloom tiara from the Windsor family with her dress, presumably designed by Stewart Parvin.

Markle recently released a statement following controversy with her father staging photo shoots with paparazzi, saying that her dad will not be attending the wedding. Breaking another tradition, she will be escorted down the aisle by Prince Charles, Harry’s father, and will be walking on to the altar to meet Harry alone.

The marriage between Harry and Meghan breaks from tradition in many ways, but their wedding and future together looks bright. You can watch the wedding tomorrow morning at 7am EST.
