South Carroll vs Liberty girls basketball

Lilly Cooper takes a shot during the Cavs away conference game against Liberty High School.

On Thursday, December 20th, the Girls Varsity Basketball Team played Liberty away. The girls managed to win the game with a final score of 34-24. Following the game, Coach Shea said “I was really proud of the girls and they really dug in and played hard. Liberty’s a really good team.” This match marked the Cavs third win of the season, and they plan to increase that number as the season continues. Rachel Tackett, who was injured last season, managed to score 10 of the points for the team to seal the win. Other scorers included Sydni Carroll, Bethany Fowler, Lauren Habighorst, Sam Hardy, Riley Evans, and Kayla Turner. The Cavs have their next game on Friday, December 21st, at Westminster High School. Be sure to wish them luck during our final day of school before break!
