SC Weekly Sports Update

Congratulations to the Golf Team as they had a strong showing at the District Tournament Tuesday. After 18 holes, Nick Amateau was tied for the lead with an even par 71. After an exciting playoff hole, Nick finished in 2nd place for the tournament and earned the lowest score among the Carroll County players. Nick will go on to play at the State Tournament in October.

The team finished the day shooting a 344, with a 71 from Nick Amateau, an 84 from Jack Hopwood, an 85 from Nate Lomax and a 104 from Ben O’Brien. Cash Stanton, Mia Horn and Kailyn Irwin all played well for their first trip to the district tournament. The Cavs look to keep their momentum going through the remainder of the season.

But that’s not all! SC Varsity Field Hockey defeated Fallston 2-0 on Friday under the lights. Goals scored by Meghan Radnoff and Julia Weiss with assists by Courtney Vasquenza and Radnoff. Rachel Hagler had 5 saves in goal. Three wins in 1 week- way to go Cavs!!

Lastly, congratulations to the Girls JV Soccer team who beat Long Reach 6-0 on Tuesday. Congratulations also to the Girls Varsity Soccer team who beat Long Reach 2-0.
