Marching Band Wins 2nd Place at Championships

Congratulations to the South Carroll Cavalier Marching Band for earning 2nd place at Saturday’s MMBA State Marching Band Championships! Lead by Drum Major, Kal Hardesty, the Cavs ended up with a score of 82.25 out of 100. The competition took place at Towson University

The Maryland Marching Band Association (otherwise known as the MMBA), the organization strives to “offer a performance outlet to marching bands of all types, including a Festival component as well as competition in various divisions.” and “To provide meaningful feedback from highly qualified clinicians and adjudicators.”

When asked about the marching band’s results, Hardesty replied, “I’m extremely happy with the energy the band displayed and I’m so proud of everything we’ve accomplished this year.”
